We plunge in together,
Imprints of our journey to the edge,
shed our layers,
laugh at our fears,
goose-bumps rising
as the other world disappears.

We plunge in together,
remember childhood, flow into now,
wave on wave pulls us to the horizon.
A paddle, a dip, full immersion,
fathoming the depths,
final layers gone.

One moment aone,
the next, ripples from fellow swimmers
anchoring us home.
